Judith Siegmund works as a philosopher and as a conceptual and video artist. She studied fine art at the art academies in Dresden and Stuttgart, as well as philosophy at the Free University Berlin and the University of Potsdam, where she completed her doctorate in 2007.  In addition to her practical experience, J.S. has taught at different art academies and is now teaching as a junior professor at Universität der Künste (University of Fine Arts) Berlin.
