This opportunity of going to Austria for further study is precious and valuable, through which it is hoped that I could engage myself in professional training and communication in the field of visual art. Through visits to Galleries, Museums as well as other Austrian cultural heritages, traditions and styles of those Austrian classic figures of painting, especially their exploration in visual art could be comprehended. It is hoped that I could absorb the best of various artistic elements, and combine them with traditional Chinese artistic practice. I am sure that once merits of Chinese and western styles are compromised, modern ways of painting can be explored to facilitate experimental artistic creation.
Communicating with Austrian artist in Academic, developing Austria-China medium/small size artistic exchange meetings, exploring differences in terms of artistic perception, styles and techniques of expression between Austria and China, visiting studios of representatives and observing their production process are all in my proposed agenda.
In addition to observation and artistic creation, I also expect that exhibitions could be held so as to provide chances for further communication.
It is my honor to have had the opportunity to be an Artist-in-Residence of quartier21.
quartier21 provided a great chance for me to experience the contemporary and traditional art of Europe.
On the other hand I got different points of view to examine myself and my painting.
It was a great time during my stay here, my studio was perfect, and I could connect and exchange ideas with the other Artists-in-Residence.
