März 2009 - März 2009Jen - Shen Gur (the artistic pseudonym), is the combination of my Russian and Hebrew names - Jenya and Shani Gurevitch, which means ginseng in Russian, that is the root of life in Chinese .
Born on 18.02.79 in Kazan, Tatarstan, USSR.
1997- 1993 - The Charles E. Smith Jerusalem high school for the arts, Jerusalem, Israel - Theater / Cinema / Music studies. Art and Graphic Design specialization. Graphic Design technical diploma.
1998 - 2002 - "Bezalel" Academy of Arts and Design, Jerusalem, Israel.
Art department (BFA). Animation, photography and video specialization.
2002 - 2004 - "Bezalel" Academy of Arts and Design, Jerusalem, Israel.
Animation unit (Diploma of Excellency).
2006 – till now - Animation Cinema Directing School – studio “SHAR”, Moscow, Russia.

2003 - Bezalel’s representation film for a PERACH organization "Yom yetzirati venifla" ("A creative and wonderful day").

2005 - 2006 - Screening of the films "Milim" and "The Cake" at : "Cartoons on the Bay" - "Pulcinella" Festival (Italy), "I Castelli Animati" (Italy), "Anima Mundi" (Brazil), CICDAF (China), "Uppsala" (Sweden), "Anima" (Belgium), "AniFest" (Chechia) , "Zagreb"(Croatia), KROK (Ukraine), "Annual Jewish Animation Celebration" (Canada), "Tricky Women" (Austria), "Women's Film Festival" - "WFFIS" (Korea), "Tindirindis" (Latvia), Bimini" (Latvia), "International Students festival of film art" "Balchik" (Bulgaria),"Assif" (Israel), "Nashim betmuna" (Israel) etc.

2008 - Animation film “Peremena”. Made within the International Student Short Film Competition “All human beings are born free and equal”, and sponsored by “Goethe Institute” & “Fonds Erinnerung Zukunft der Stiftung”.

Personal love histories
When I pass by blocks of buildings, they all look the same, but behind each window there is a different life with its own happiness, despair etc. People fall in love, give birth to their children, become sick, die...
If I were transparent I would enter the houses like angels from Vim Wenderse's film "Wings of Desire", I would be invisibly present in people's life, maybe even being able to help them.
People usually clean their windows in spring and the sun reflections dance in each window. Spring is the beginning of new hopes, of new life in nature as well as human relationships. That's the perfect time to walk in the streets and investigate some personal love histories.
