Talk: Mein Vater, der Architekt – mein Sohn, der Musiker

With touchingly atmospheric buildings such as the Therme Vals, the Kolumba Art Museum in Cologne, the Kunsthaus Bregenz or the Bruder Klaus Field Chapel, Peter Zumthor, born in Basel in 1943, occupies a unique position in architecture. Atmosphere is also the key to his love of music, which he calls the "greatest of all arts". In close cooperation between Zumthor, the Vienna Musikverein and the Wien Modern Festival, a week of 13 concerts and eight workshop talks at lovingly selected venues in and around Vienna has been created to mark his 80th birthday.
