In the MQ Art Box, Sofia Goscinski has arranged her ‘Desert Plants’ - an ensemble of 48 elegant, columnar sculptures cast in concrete and partly executed in bronze. Goscinski moulded the concrete around the approximately 250 cm long iron rods with a delicate touch, leaving the traces of her hands impressively in the material. This manual process reveals itself as a concentrated, meditative act that makes the artist's creative power visible in her direct relationship with the material.
