As the final project of her studies in the Master of Arts Education program at the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna, Martha Paredes is developing an interdisciplinary performance with a group of professional musicians and dancers, which will be presented as part of the exhibition Rene Matić / Oscar Murillo. The contrast of light and darkness in life is a fundamental metaphor that reflects the duality of our existence. Light often stands for hope, clarity and knowledge, while darkness symbolizes uncertainty, fear and the unknown. But is it true?

In this interdisciplinary journey through the works of Rene Matić and Oscar Murillo, we invite you to join us in reflecting on the self and the collective, focusing on Josephine Baker and her fight for human rights, through the resonance of the arts: dance, music and language.
