Is Aleksey Igudesman a violinist or a conductor? And is Hyung-ki Joo a composer or an entertainer? The Igudesman & Joo duo is one that refuses to be pigeonholed. Their latest program is called “Mambo Jambo”, and it takes Mambo from Leonard Bernstein’s musical West Side Story as the starting point for an enthusiastic gallop through the history of music from Mozart to Chopin to Sting.
