Bryana Fritz & Thibault Lac "Knight-Night"

Bryana Fritz and Thibault Lac take on the iconic figure of Don Quixote. Knight-Night decentres Cervantes’ text in favour of a plurality of versions – notably, Kathy Acker’s 1986 text, in which the knight embarks on the most insane idea that any woman can think of, which is...to love.

The two performers bring together fragmented embodiments of Dons Quixotes, not forgetting the infamous sidekick Sancho Panza, sometimes friend, sometimes accomplice, sometimes horse. Identities slip. The narrative explodes. The audience, present on stage, has a sideways saddle onto this queer, feminist quest for the elusive, fleeting figure of a knight under the flags of fiction and reality.
