Emotional, humorous, critical of racism and empowering.

The three friends Gianni Jovanović, Oyindamola Alashe and Celina Bostic are touring together with the stage programme "We children of the small majorities". The focus is on the joint book by activist Gianni Jovanović and journalist Oyindamola Alashe "I, a Child of the Small Majority". Together they tell the exciting life story of the gay German-Roma Jovanović. They impressively show how much Rom:nja and Sinti:zze have experienced racism and exclusion for centuries - and still today. At the same time, their narratives are always self-confident - sometimes with humour, sometimes with sadness and informative seriousness.

Celina Bostic accompanies the authors with guitar and vocals. Her songs sound like a soundtrack to the book. She sensitively picks up the mood of the text and underlines the emotions of the authors and the audience. "We Children of the Small Majorities" is more than a reading, a concert or a panel discussion. The programme combines all these elements and offers space to deal with structural racism for the first time or in more depth. It allows for questions, conversations and above all emotions. It clarifies and sensitises - but it also strengthens those who experience discrimination in their lives. It shows that there are differences, but also many similarities between the groups. Jovanović, Alashe and Bostic build bridges. "We Children of Small Majorities" is a celebration for the electoral family - and all those who want to become one.
