FREE ENTRY, LITERATURE & DISCOURSE, DANCE/PERFORMANCE/MUSIC


Interdisciplinary, interuniversity post-grad forum on the subjects of choreography, performance, body, art and politics at TQW. In the redesigned library in the Studios, TQW provides time and space once a month to network with colleagues from other disciplines and other institutions. Besides exchanging methods and conceptual work on terminology, those attending can present their own research projects and put them up for discussion.

So far, the following have signed up and/or have been involved in devising the event: students from the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, the University of Applied Arts Vienna, the University of Art and Design Linz, the University of Salzburg/Dance Studies and the University of Vienna/Theater, Film and Media Studies, Philosophy and Art History).

Presentations on Mon, 9 April:

Lisa Moravec will present the framework of her paper Horses (still) in Motion: The Techniques of “Dress-aging” the Body in Performance, its Technologies of Documentation, and its leftovers (1968–2016) that she is writing at the Royal Holloway University, London.

Charlotta Ruth is to talk about the concept of meta-liveness that she is developping within the scope of her PhD (title: Choreographic Contingencies for on and offline) in Artistic Research at the University for Applied Arts, Vienna.
