The Institute of Design Research Vienna stages a show of destruction in the MQ courtyard. Everyday objects will be dismantled and critically analysed with the help of a sledgehammer and a digital tool for the practical implementation of circular product design. Together we will uncover greenwashing and discuss alternatives.
We propagate creative destruction in design, which, as the Austrian economist Joseph Schumpeter coined the term, must precede every innovation. The new design must be environmentally friendly and regenerative!
We are demonstrating a new tool, the Circular Design Rules. They were developed with the support of the Ministry of Climate Protection and the Vienna Business Agency and will be the starting point for an action by the DESIGN REVOLUTION NOW! movement at the MQ.
