The princess is envied by her stepmother for her beauty and is supposed to die. But seven little helpers and a prince know how to prevent this. The Grimm fairy tale about a jealous queen and her young, meddling stepdaughter with its many symbolic references such as the mirror, the apple, the dark forest, the number seven etc. is still a source of inspiration for music, theatre and film today.

This children's opera based on the well-known classic fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm about love, friendship and inner beauty is based on the music of Engelbert Humperdinck, the famous fairy tale composer ("Hansel and Gretel" and others), who explored this material but never completed the work.

The Wiener Taschenoper production brings this Snow White to life. Wolfgang Mitterer has exclusively used and arranged music by Engelbert Humperdinck for the setting - confronted and enhanced by his very own electronic soundscapes.
