Performance festival for young adults on diversity, sex + gender, queerness + feminisms.

What gets under your skin or do you need a thick skin to be yourself as a young person?

Skin wraps around all of us. It protects us and makes us feel. It is vulnerable and yet indestructible. It separates and connects us.

The "SKIN Performancefestival" negotiates issues for a young adult audience between the ages of 15 and 23. It is about the equality of all people and their right to self-determination, the freedom not to have to define oneself and not to be easily readable - regardless of physique, gender and sexual orientation, origin, social affiliation, skin color, mother tongue or religion.

With international guest performances and local productions by independent groups, as well as lectures, talks, concerts, workshops and parties, the aim is to provide a platform for marginalized communities and people, but also to break down prejudices and gain new perspectives. We question and play playfully and subversively with images of critical masculinity, female* empowerment and queerfeminist positions.
