"The fear of danger is ten thousand times more frightening than the danger itself."
(Daniel Defoe)

Robinson lives on his desert island. And is content. He has what he needs and perhaps even a little more.
But Robinson is afraid. Not of loneliness, but of someone coming and taking away his wealth. That's why he has to act before it's too late. Every day he keeps watch on the beach. He would love to build a fence around himself and his island to ward off any possible danger.
And suddenly he discovers footprints in the sand. And one day, a stranger makes it to his island and asks for help. For rescue. For asylum.

A play about the need to preserve what you have achieved and the fear of the great unknown that could take something away from you.

Raoul Biltgen's play was awarded the Dutch-German Children's and Youth Theatre Prize at the "Kaas & Kappes" festival and was most recently performed at the Tiroler Landestheater and the Theater Konstanz, among others.
