Resonanz. Musem Meets Musiktheater

With the 90-minute format "Resonanz", we establish contacts in our new neighbourhood in the MuseumsQuartier: art educators, musicians and dramaturges from the MusikTheater an der Wien, the mumok and the Kunsthalle Wien explore echoes, reverberations or contrasts in the current exhibitions and programmes. For the large anniversary exhibition "DasTier in Dir" at the mumok, depictions of animals in the visual arts meet music from Janáček's "Das schlaue Füchslein", played by the Quintetto Sinfonico of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra. At the Kunsthalle, the works of Vienna-based artist and filmmaker Katrina Daschner (BURN & GLOOM! GLOW & MOON! Thousand Years of Troubled Genders) meet a chorus of 17th-century madrigals from "La liberazione", which also pose the question of gender and gender identity.
