Public Moves: Cat Jimenez "Exploring the Groove"
Mon 15.07., 18.45 – 20h, MQ forecourt
In these three complementary classes, we will reframe our relationship with music, question our understanding of groove, and delve into its embodiment. We will explore the foundational energy within its history and understand how these dances intersect with community, spirituality, and politics on a broader scale. Each class will focus on a specific aspect: connecting with and embodying the music, exploring the body's movement, and understanding the social dimension of groove.
The Public Moves dance classes take place outdoors every day. More than 170 international and local instructors teach everything from yoga to Bollywood dance to hip-hop in free outdoor classes. No previous experience is required, all ages and levels are welcome!
Registration is possible one day before the course starts from 11h. via the calendar or by telephone on +43 1 523 55 58-19. If a course is marked as "fully booked", it is still possible to get a remaining place on site. It's worth coming along!
