Ceramicdesign market POTS und BLITZ is back

From 24 to 26 September 24, 2021, ceramic craftsmanship will be the focus of events at MuseumsQuartier Wien.

Around 40 selected ceramists from Austria and abroad will be showing at POTS und BLITZ on the last weekend in September how multifaceted the art of clay can be. Unusual vases, unique plates, fine porcelain jewellery, original figures and impressive sculptures can be admired and bought for three days in the Arena21 and the Ovalhalle at the MuseumsQuartier. Regardless of whether it is everyday ceramics (definitely dishwasher-safe) or art objects, here it is time to move away from conventional industrial products and towards individual, hand-made one-offs. Ceramic enthusiasts can get in direct contact with the artists and learn more about the history of the creation of the individual works.

After a year of corona-related break, organiser Gabriela Schmidle (Managing Director MTS Wien) is confident: “We are optimistic that we will be able to bring POTS und BLITZ back to life this year. With a sophisticated prevention and security concept, we will enable the public to have a pleasant and stress-free stay.”
