For "NO MERCY", Noura Seif Hassanein und Salma Abdel Salam, aka nasa4nasa, call on El Naddaha, an Egyptian mythical woman who lures men into the Nile – and thus to their doom. Created during the rise of the #metoo movement in Egypt, the piece explores the limits of sensuality and desire and its interplay with violence and rage. The choreographers invite the audience into the frenzied world of their virtual and non-virtual realities. Following a dynamic playlist featuring pop references to an adolescence in the 1990s and 2000s, they navigate through both alluring and abysmal scenes. Fast-paced, rebellious – and with no mercy.
