About the special exhibition: "POETRY OF THE ORNAMENT. The Backhausen Archive"
What is meant by poetry and what is meant by ornament? Could we also speak of the "magic of patterns"? Backhausen was a world-famous company. It produced fabrics, carpets and curtains whose patterns were designed by artists. We slip into the role of a designer and start our work with chequered paper, just like back then.
