Land in Sicht – wie viel Boden (ver-)brauchen wir?
Thu 04.07.2024, 19h l MQ Summer Stage, Main Courtyard l Free entry
Hannes Royer and Maria Fanninger, hosts of the podcast "Wer nichts weiß, muss alles essen", which has won several Ö3 podcast awards, discuss the controversial topic of land consumption in a live podcast with architect Caroline Rodlauer on the MQ Summer Stage. Peter Stallberger (Goodmills/Finis Feinstes), Thomas Buck (Kelly/Soletti) and Maria Fanninger then talk about the importance of regional food production and Austrian added value in the Expert:innen Talk, while fresh ears of wheat blow in the wind and create a rural idyll in the centre of the city. Four 1 m2 organic wheat fields surround the MQ Summer Stage in order to make the emotional, tangible connection between food and land use even more accessible to the general public in Europe's largest cultural area. A photo point and information boards with graphics, facts and figures complement the nature installation, which will find an urban home in the middle of the MQ Main Courtyard from 4 to 7 July.
With this talk, Kelly, as an exclusive MQ goes Green-partner, wants to raise awareness about soil, the origin of food and sustainable production chains.
With its Kelly's and Soletti brands, Kelly has been an exclusive MQ goes Green-partner for SDG Goal 12 "Sustainable Consumption and Production" since 2024. The Palla Vienna design collaboration to mark Soletti's 75th anniversary is a success - tradition meets cheeky cult bag! For this reason, 300 limited edition Soletti-always-with-you bags and other exclusive Soletti products are available at the MQ Point and online.
