KinderKulturParcours 2024: Strike a Pose! Voguing Workshop

As part of the KinderKulturParcours 2024.

Pingpaya 007 and Juany Moonlight give an insight into the multifaceted ballroom culture that emerged in the 1960s in Harlem, New York, through black and Latin American trans women. Then as now, queer people are exposed to discrimination and violence. Voguing as a dance form enables people to develop and celebrate themselves free from the expectations of heteronormative society. We playfully explore posing and the question of what it means to present yourself confidently on the catwalk. You are welcome to bring your favourite dress or accessories and show them off in the performance passage.
