Who is in control here, who has the power? The solo dancer on her sound-generating metal plate or the choreographer who “interferes” live alongside her? A camera, a projection screen and sophisticated sound equipment are also involved. While the dancer moves, her body is projected onto a screen in a mix of previously recorded images and images produced live, directed by the choreographer. The dancer reacts to these images – or doesn’t. In this setting of samples and loops the relationship between image, performance and sound is taken to a new, surprising level.
