FLEDERMÄUSE
CHILDREN & FAMILY, DANCE/PERFORMANCE/MUSIC

Dance & theatre with live music: FLEDERMÄUSE
05. to 13.04., Johann Strauss 2025
Bats are a bit like us. They are mammals and like to hang out together, preferably secretly and in caves. There they share treats with their friends. They are very fast, very clever and they love swear words that only they understand. I love bats.
Everyone else is afraid of them. Because they suck blood - allegedly. Because they travel in the dark. I take my torch, sneak around the flat and build myself a dark cave. My older sister visits me there and tells me that there are bats called evening swifts that live in tree hollows. And I know that a Johann Strauss, the son of another Johann Strauss, wrote an operetta and called it "Die Fledermaus". But there are no bats in it, just a hawk and a frog. I like the music. We dance a bat dance to it. What if this Johann Strauss himself danced with bats?
In German.
