The theatre collective ROMANO SVATO is organising the Roma festival "E BISTARDE - VERGISS MEIN NICHT" for the fourth time. ROMANO SVATO was founded more than a decade ago as an association for transcultural communication and has since made a name for itself with its own plays and by inviting renowned artists and performers from Austria and abroad. The festival's productions tell stories from the real lives of Roma and Romnja. These can be both painful and illuminate the image of themselves and others with pointed humour. Despite the recognition of the Roma ethnic group in Austria 30 years ago, there are still large gaps in knowledge about the minority, and prejudices seem to be unbroken. ROMANO SVATO takes on a pioneering role by tackling controversial topics and making the problems of the Roma visible.
