Curator's tour: RUDOLF WACKER

Thu 07.11., 16.30h, with Laura Feurle

In 2024, the Leopold Museum presents the first Viennese exhibition of the important representative of New Objectivity, Rudolf Wacker (1893-1939), in over 50 years. Wacker, whose work was mainly created in Bregenz, was one of the most influential artists of the interwar period.

With his precise, almost magical depictions of everyday objects and landscapes, he created fascinating, mysterious pictorial worlds. The exhibition features loans from renowned collections as well as a selection of his drawings and works by fellow artists such as Otto Dix and Franz Lenk.
