Best of Austrian Design: Award-winning projects of the State Prize for Design

Every two years, the Federal Ministry of Labour and Economy awards the State Prize for Design. In the 50th edition, a jury of experts selected 35 innovative and future-oriented projects in the categories Consumer Goods, Capital Goods, Product Design Interior, Spaces & Environment and DesignImpact-Concepts from a total of 218 submissions. Their common denominator is groundbreaking progressiveness, social relevance and sustainability as key issues of our time. The exhibition presents the award-winning projects, which offer added value in both social and ecological terms.

The competition organisation and exhibition design for the 50th State Prize for Design are once again the responsibility of designaustria, a knowledge centre and advocacy group.
