"Von der Hand in den Mund (Hand to Mouth)" is a performative dinner, an edible installation, a sensuous discourse about taste and class. In a set-up inspired by the food and catering industries’ cosmos of commodities, Julischka Stengele creates a space of activity staging various dishes, the sampling of them, and a reflection on our sense of taste. Materialities, smells, aromas, colours and shapes combine with performative elements to create an aesthetic experience that involves all the senses.
