Anne Glassner uses the artistic passageway in the MQ Schauräumen at monochrom to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and lie down.
Anne Glassner is a visual artist and performer. She lives and works in Vienna and Lower Austria. Her artistic practice includes performances, videos, installations and drawings. In recent years, she has explored the boundaries between life and art and between fiction and reality in her ‘sleep performances’ in unusual locations. The theme of identity plays a decisive role for the artist, who grew up in the Waldviertel region and has Armenian roots. Glassner's works are not just snapshots, but archives of transience that are intended to awaken the observer's own memories and dreams. Her catalogue ‘schlafen’ was published by monochrom in 2021.
