Ever since films have existed, there have been dance films. There is an ambivalent relationship between dancing light and the movement of human bodies, be it in Quentin Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction, Jean-Luc Godard’s Bande à part or Lars von Trier’s Dancer in the Dark, in Flashdance, the Step Up series or the American classics. In 2012, the publishers founded the association ’Verein zur Förderung Kritischer Theater-, Film- und Medienwissenschaft (KritTFM)’ in Vienna.

This will be the presentation of their first publication, after which Samira Elagoz’ film Craigslist Allstars will be shown at the mumok kino.
