Sybille Tsalikoglou: Move on Metal

The viewer's gaze is focused on the moment, the instant: The wind moves the blossom, the storm bends the bush, a gust whirls up the petals. An exciting dialogue is created between the medium of metal and the artistic photograph of nature. Sybille Tsalikoglou uses a scratching technique she developed. The photograph is mounted on the carrier material aluminum sheet and removed again by means of scratches. This exposes the surface of the metal, the incident light is reflected and the photograph seems to shimmer as if by itself. The transitory moment of passing is preserved and transformed into a permanent work of art: a moment of lightness.
