Cooperation University of Heidelberg
The Collaborative Research Center 933 "Material Text Cultures" at Heidelberg University has an ancient studies focus. The core interest of the research network is the specific material nature and the presence evoked by it of inscribed artifacts and the written word itself. In this context, the subproject public relations "Script-bearing Artifacts in New Media" aims to apply the research questions to script-bearing "artifacts" of today as well as to digital script. For this exhibition, Anett Rózsa's sub-project entitled "Materiality and Presence of Magical Signs between Antiquity and the Middle Ages: Egyptian Practices for Gaining Favor" was selected.
