Alexander Gratzer: Apfelmus [Applesauce]

In a cosy nest high above two hybrid birds ventilate existential philosophical questions. Meanwhile a small red apple embarks on a journey into the gloom of a cave where bearlike figures await it.
The short animation Apfelmus (Apple Sauce) is Alexander Gratzer’s graduation film at the University of Applied Arts Vienna (in the discipline of painting under the guidance of Henning Bohl) and won (among other prizes) the ASIFA Austria Award / Best Austrian Animation 2019.
