Mapping Democracy
Workshop and guided tour of the exhibition for adults and young people from age 14 to 18

Dates: Thu, Apr 05, 18-20:00, Sat, May 26, 15–17:00
For young people from age 14 to 18:
Sun, Apr 15, 15-17:00*
Registration and additional dates for groups: <link>vermittlung@viennashorts.com

Maps help us find our way around the world. They provide an overview and are used for planning. After a guided tour we want to draw a personal “map of democracy”. We will ask critical questions, find positions, draw limits, explore the room for manoeuvre, make contradictions visible and sign in ourselves.

Res Publica
Curators’ guided tour for adults and young people from age 14

Dates: Fri, Apr 20, 16–17:30
For young people from age 14 to 18: Thu, May 10, 16–17:30*
Registration and additional dates for groups: <link>vermittlung@viennashorts.com

Together with the curators Doris Bauer and Daniel Ebner, the positions will be walked through, and the most appropriate film per theme will be selected by democratic vote. There is room for personal values, political discussions and positions. Every tour thus literally becomes a “res publica”, a public affair.

We shape the world the way we like it*
Workshop and guided tour for young people from age 14 to 18

Duration:
3 hours, Workshops need to be booked in advance.
Registration: <link>vermittlung@viennashorts.com

The workshop focusses on cultural education and contemplation on democracy as social and artistic practice. The guided tour is followed by a discussion and addresses the topics of the exhibition in a creative way. The key question is: How does democracy affect the everyday life of young people?
