dérive – an association for urban studies, exists as a platform at the interface of science, art, and activism as well as it is an initiative for realising an urban society. A society focussed on the inhabitants of cities, focussed on their lives, their needs, desires, and activities, and not on location marketing, municipal competition, marginalization, or displacement.
The association publishes the quarterly review dérive, organises the annual ten-day festival urbanize! - International Festival for Urban Explorations and broadcasts monthly dérive - Radio for Urban Studies.
The exhibition shows an excerpt of dérive's multidimensional analyses of the urban space from a socio-political perspective.
