COURAGE is an exercise in listening and in talking to each other. The starting material for the project is discussions that Claudia Heu has carried out with various people since April 2012: what are their personal experiences with radical changes? With success and failure, becoming familiar with change or resisting the inevitable? The artist talked with her interview partners about the freedoms and lack of freedoms that changes bring with them, about now and tomorrow. COURAGE is a collage of voices and experiences, a choir of voices, a performative installation about what happens when the old is no longer sustainable and the new is not yet within our grasp.
