Together with mumok kino, fullframe is showing contemporary experimental and avant-garde films (not older than 2010) in a c. 60-minute program. The selection of films is preceded by an open call, and is intended to present the broadest possible spectrum of films that show diverse ways of using the media of film and video. We are particularly interested in artistic approaches with an experimental and innovative character.
The program comprises film and video works that would normally be screened in exhibitions. This combination of films allows not only a concentrated view of individual works, but also reveals significant interconnections within the program as a whole.
Since 2007, fullframe has presented an annual show of experimental and avant-garde films at Vienna\'s Gartenbaukino and also at special venues from a drive-in movie theater to a planetarium. Curators for fullframe are Barnabas Huber, Thomas Glänzel, and Wiktoria Pelzer.
