French artist Florian Rivière is an \"urban hacktivist\". Between 2008 - 2012, he established and led the french collective \"Démocratie Créative\" that created a series of public interventions within Strasbourg.
Inspired by hacker, DIY, and upcycling cultures, his work focuses on allowing citizens to reclaim their urban environments. He uses raw and found materials in the street to create spontaneous games, furnishings, traps, maps and instructions to divert public space - so many urban tactics which show the functionality of sites, and direct action of the user on urban space.
In September, Rivière participated in the Viennese Street Art Festival \"Black River\". His artwork for the STREET ART PASSAGE VIENNA is a reflection of his credo of the \"3F - Fun, Free, Fuck\".
