Concept:
During this year’s Summer of Fashion the courtyards in the Museumsquartier will be animated by a giant catwalk. The catwalk seems to grow out of the ground throughout different areas of the Museumsquartier transforming these into real action zones. The Summer of Fashion will be open and visible to everyone and at all times, whether there is an event going on or not. The structure varies in height, making the person walking on it automatically visible for others, whether it be, a model or simply a passerby. This enables a change in roles; everyone can now be the Model. The idea plays with the confusion between the observer and the observed and provokes self-refl ection. The theme of the mix-up between actor and spectator can also be read in the formations of the catwalk structure. Everyone is the model and the spectator at once.

Function:
The entire catwalk can be used for sitting, lying down and relaxing. During fashion events certain inner spaces can be used as VIP zones.
