The beginning of the exhibition programme by the new director, Karola Kraus, consists of a new presentation of the collection on all of the museum\'s levels in which objectives and activities are governed by innovative collection policies. The MUMOK collection - from classic modernism to current positions - will be presented in a way that is both chronological and organized according to subject matter. In amongst this presentation there will be exhibits that the museum would like to acquire over the next year. By strengthening the collection the desired works accentuate and simultaneously structure the holdings in a new way. This exhibition is intended to refine the collection\'s profile and emphasis and set a new, future-oriented accent. The wish for new acquisitions is directed towards private sponsors and patrons to encourage them to support the museum in the face of a dwindling state-funded acquisition budget in order that it can continue to fulfil its core collection responsibilities. At the same time the exhibition indicates the future exhibition strategy of having large-scale monographic or thematic group exhibitions enter into a dialogue with the collection. The Baloise prize winner 2010, Claire Hooper, will be presented in the The Museum of Wishes.
