The MUMOK is celebrating the 10th anniversary of the MQ - and simultaneously its own birthday - in an unconventional way: The focus will be on the reopening of the museum, marking the beginning of the era of new Director Karola Kraus following alterations and modifications to the building\'s interior. On September 8, the MUMOK will be reopening to the public on all five levels with the premiere show Museum of Desires.

During the renovation phase, the MUMOK will be moving its activities to the urban outdoors:
D(e)-Tour (Sun, Jun 12, and Sun, July 10, 13:00) takes a trip on the D streetcar line to explore the past of the Museum Moderner Kunst. Information and tour programs will be available at the MUMOK Box (in the MQ Haupthof from June to August).
ArtNight offers short activities around and at the MUMOK construction site relating to the experience of museums, space, and locations.
Aktionstag Kinderclub (Sun, May 15, 10:00 - 18:00) is an open studio event for kids.
Finally, part of this year\'s Summer Vacation Game, organized in cooperation with wienXtra, is dedicated to the theme Construction Site.
