On Wednesday, 21 September 2011 - exactly 10 years after its grand opening, the Leopold Museum will celebrate its anniversary with a ceremonial act (from 11am on) which is the prelude to three-day celebrations. On Thursday, 22 September 2011, the museum will open its jubilee exhibition \"Egon Schiele. Melancholy and Provocation\". On Friday, 23 September 2011, the museum invites the public to an „open house\" with free admission. In parallel to the celebrations, the renowned light artist Waltraut Cooper realizes a light installation which has been especially designed for the tenth anniversary of the Leopold Museum.

Waltraut Cooper - cascades of light
Architecture and art coalesce: cascades of blue light pour into the elegant, narrow continuous slot windows on each side of the Leopold Museum from the top to the bottom over the entire facade. Powerful, with unpretentious, clear and secure lines. To ever new rhythms. Fascination and artistic emanation in response to the impressive architecture of the Leopold Museum which is staged in this way.
