On September 21, 2011 - ten years to the day from the moment the Leopold Museum first opened its doors to the public - it will be celebrating its anniversary with an official ceremony. Renowned light artist Waltraut Cooper will create a light installation conceived specifically for the 10th anniversary. In keeping with the vision of museum founder and benefactor Prof. Dr. Rudolf Leopold (1925-2010), the museum is staging a large-scale exhibition on the artist at the center of Rudolf Leopold\'s passion for collecting: Egon Schiele. Melancholy and Provocation takes an intense look at the sensitive and ground-breaking Expressionist. Paintings, letters, drawings, and objects from private collection show Schiele as a human being and artist. The exhibition also sheds light on his influence on contemporary art. Artists like Elke Krystufek and Franz Graf will explore Schiele\'s work in the context of the exhibition
