Cameras travel to and fro at the touch of a button; screens unfold and shift to create ever-changing vistas. In the atmospheric works of media artist Jan Machacek, familiar technology takes on a sophisticated life of its own, turning its back on seamless referentiality. For his new work, he catapults a 19th-century stage trick - Pepper\'s ghost, which uses reflections in plate glass to make \"ghosts\" appear or disappear - into the 21st century. Show Ghost plays with reflections and projections. This results in an imbalance of the planned and the experiencable, with ghosts appearing at the climax, although we do not know whether they are good or evil.
