Josef Trattner\'s SOFA is a mobile installation inviting participation and interdiscursiveness. His SOFA trips through Europe repeatedly lead him to collaborate with location-savvy writers, join them on expeditions into the urban environment, and stage actions, discussions, and readings. The brick red color and strict geometry of the sofa and sitting cubes reflect a sculptural concept based on constructivist design principles aiming at simplicity and reduction. Their presence lends a clearly defined and at once playfully ephemeral quality to the related literary and music events.

For the anniversary of the MQ, publisher SCHLEBRÜGGE.EDITOR and Josef Trattner are organizing three SOFA events in the Staatsratshof, with readings featuring writers Julya Rabinowich, Filip Florian (Writer-in-Residence at quartier21), and Radek Knapp. Burkhard Stangl and Franz Hautzinger are creating the musical program.
