When the MQ Courtyard is filled with thousands of people and you still think you could hear a pin drop, the Konservatorium Wien University must be paying a visit. The Kons shows what classic concerts can create in an open and unconventional atmosphere: Frenetic silence. The opening of last year\'s Sommer im MQ program called for an encore. Kons Goes Public promises a brilliant evening with new or rediscovered sounds. After percussion, pop, rock, and musical treats, a premiere of a piece choreographed by Darrel Toulon awaits. It will be accompanied by a live performance and premiere of Markus Stockhausen\'s suite Tanzendes Licht. The kons.wien.dancecompany joins forces with the kons.wien.jazzorchestra to form a transdisciplinary ensemble that includes students of classical string instruments. Versatile German composer Markus Stockhausen is personally responsible for the musical direction and the trumpet solo.
