An extravagant house is catching people\'s attention this year in front of the Mariahilferstrasse U2 station: It\'s the \"Flederhaus\". Despite its name, it\'s not full of bats, but a cluster of hammocks. A certain association with the nocturnal animals may still come up. GRIFFNER created the wooden structure as art object. It\'s meant to symbolize sustainable building and inspire reflection. Wood is experiencing a renaissance as an energy-efficient, environmentally friendly, and truly green construction material. The \"Flederhaus\" was designed by the architect team heri&salli. In fall, the \"Flederhaus\" will find a new home where it can again serve as an oasis of relaxation and a symbol of sustainability.
