welcometo.as (Lausanne / Davis-California), the Czech-Swiss cooperation between Adam Machacek and Sebastien Bohner has its origin in an internship they both absolved at the Dutch studio Dumbar. Working together since 2004, these 2 designers combine influences from the Netherlands, the UK, Czech Republic, Switzerland and the USA.
Their diverse, sometimes baroque and exuberant graphical projects blend experimental typography, illustration and photography. The vibrant works of Machacek and Bohner turn out to be maverick design solutions, such as an exhibition catalogue about rock music and its influences onto the visual culture of the 1960s; or a city map that looks like a tube map. They were responsible for the visual identity of this year\'s Biennale of Graphic Design Brno.
