Kites and Planes
Outdoor workshop for kids

At the summer workshop organized by ZOOM Kindermuseum and MuseumsQuartier you can invent kites and other flying contraptions. Fly the planes and kites you build, design a cloud tickling machine, or make a windwhirler. Using various kinds of plastic, straws, wooden sticks, and foil, you can create crazy flying contraptions and sky creatures.

The program only takes place in good weather.
For kids ages 3 to 12

If you were a color, which would it be? How does your appear­ance change when light and shadow, day and night, dance on you? Is there a light that makes you shine? In this vacation game workshop we experiment with color and light - both indoors in the exhibition areas and outside - until we literally shine.

Justus Neumann brings the \"Ring of the Nibelungs\" to the stage, incorporating the entire tent, and drawing on the skill of being able to make a lot out of nearly nothing and create great theater with a highly personal touch using the magic of imagination.

Water forest created by the Austrian Forestry Department
Here comes the water! As soon as the weather starts to warm
up, the water exhibition H2O at ZOOM Kindermuseum will
move out into the Fürstenhof Courtyard of the MQ. A refreshing
and fragrant Austrian rainforest will be created in the middle of the city. Made of living trees contributed by the Austrian Forestry Department, it will be enveloped in moisture in the form of drizzling, sprinkling, and showering rain. Everyone who visits this forest can experience the water cycle first hand, learn about the importance of forests for the world\'s
climate, and enjoy a forest atmosphere.

African Festival

Zimbabwean ensemble IYASA will be staging a colorful
celebration in the Fürstenhof Courtyard in front of DSCHUNGEL
WIEN. It will be an exciting afternoon with African music and
dance and African delicacies. Then, at 17:00, the performance of an African fairy tale will bring the world of Zimbabwean children alive on stage at DSCHUNGEL WIEN.

The Rocky Jolly Street Show is a thrilling performance with kids
from the 9th grade of the private secondary school w@lz.
All of the participants become street artists and prove their
stuff in a lively show featuring acrobatics, clowning, dance, and
theater. The first two performances take place on June 18 in the Fürstenhof Courtyard of the MQ. Between June 21 and 26 the troupe will travel from place to place in the Waldviertel region.

Do you want to help the construction workers at the Architek­turzentrum Wien build the biggest Az W LEGO City ever? Or do you feel like helping to plan the new Az W LEGO harbor city? The Az W LEGO hospital needs to be expanded as well. Plus, we want to build some new office and hotel towers at the Az W LEGO airport. Or how about having a train drive through the new Az W LEGO railroad terminal after we complete the Az W LEGO City?
