This is an one hour warming up ballet training for contemporary dancers (intermediate/advanced). It starts with an easy barre to explore greater conformity with principles of mechanical balance and continuos in the center with center practice, turning combination and finally jumps. This classes are twice a week, and gives the possibility to have a regular ballet training over the year.
Bettina Schaefer began her training at the age of eight with Prof. Edith Frandsen (Riga/Latvia) at the College for Performing Arts. After three years she joined the Vienna State Opera Ballet School and received her diploma at the age of 16. She then studied at the SAB/David Howard School of Ballet in New York. As a dancer she initially worked in New York, among others with Robert Denvers, Ivan Nagy and Simon Dow. She received her contemporary training with Ivan Wolfe, Frey Faust and Robert Galvan. She has been teaching and choreographing in Austria since 1994, among others at the Tanztheater Wien/Liz King, Volksoper Wien, Tanzkompanie xIDA, Institute for Dance Arts at Bruckner University Linz, spiral[e], and the Move On Dance Centre.
