„Wiener Wuast“ „Wiener Wuast“

An animated film about Vienna made by a Japanese artist.

"Welcome to this unique transforming view of Vienna." I have visited Vienna first time in 2003 as a jury member of Tricky Women International Female Animation Festival operated by Culture2Culture. With great help of them and new Austrian friends of mine, I got chance to stay in Vienna some month of every year after that. I would have liked to show how much I thank them. It was very much fun to collect pieces of my favorite parts of Vienna, draw them and shoot at lovely places. This film is a love letter to friends and Vienna from me.

The title has come from Viennese dialect for 'Wurst' and expression for: "it's all the same", "I don't mind", "I don't care" and German word "Wust"  - less used German word for 'chaos ', 'chaotic circumstances'. I respect "Wiener Werkstaette" so I am happy to have "WW" in the title.

In this exhibition, you can watch the animated film “Wiener Wuast”, and original drawings.
I wish you would enjoy finding many lovely small parts of Vienna.
